YOGA equals LIFE

How we practice yoga can be a direct reflection of how we live our lives. This is one of the reasons we try to stay present during our practice. So many times throughout our day we allow our minds to wander, not giving our full attention to whatever it is we are doing. Often times our minds and energy is scattered rather than focused on the task at hand. What we do not realize is that by staying present on our mats and tuning into our bodies and true selves will actually help to build this muscle we call focus.

By building and practicing this focus on our mats we will find that it transcends into other areas of our lives. This does not mean that we have to push ourselves 100% all the time. Doing that would make us miserable and we would end up hurting ourselves. Instead we tune into our bodies and breath and become aware of the sensations that arise. Start each practice with the intention to stay in the body and stay with the deep flowing breath whether we are in headstand or childs pose. The way we do anything is the way we do everything. I look forward to practicing with you soon.
